Alot of people scratch their heads when the question is asked. How do I find my wheel size?
It really is not that hard and we hope to help you with the following information.
The first thing you need to know is do not try measuring the tire, wheel, or hubcap using a ruller or tape measure this will give you the incorrect size and will be off by about an inch.
Second the rim or wheel size is the actual diameter of the bead of the tire, which cannot be accurately measured without dismounting the tire from the rim.
Every tire has a series of numbers printed on them that contains the wheel or rim size. This series most of the time starts with "P" for passenger vehicles, and "LT" for light trucks.
In the image below the two digit number following the "R" signifies the wheel or rim size.
